MetaTrader 5 Build 5800 Adds Depth of Market to the Trading Dialog

Updated: Fresh

MetaQuotes published MetaTrader 5 Build 5800 on April 16 and the headline change for traders is a redesigned trading dialog with built-in Depth of Market. According to the release notes, the update moves order-type switching to a side panel, adds one-click trading enable and disable controls inside the dialog, and is the first step in a broader redesign that will later cover stop placement and risk-management improvements.

The same release also includes a series of operational fixes around reports, data requests, WebRequest handling, and signal copying. On the web terminal side, MetaQuotes said it fixed indicator-dialog positioning, corrected trading-session start times in instrument specifications, and improved double-click behavior for chart objects and the vertical scale.

Why it matters

This is a practical workflow update rather than a cosmetic one. Putting depth of market inside the order ticket reduces the number of windows traders need to manage when placing pending orders or checking nearby price levels. For active MT5 users, faster access to order controls can matter most during short-lived volatility bursts when extra clicks cost time.

What to watch next

MetaQuotes said more changes to stop-level placement and risk controls are still coming. Traders using broker-branded MT5 setups should watch how quickly their broker rolls the build out, because feature availability can lag even when the core platform update is already live.
